Newsletters
The LMTA Executive Board has voted to replace the paper-printed and mailed versions of the Winter and Spring Score newsletters with electronic newsletters, beginning with the Winter 2008 issue.  This decision was made in response to the high cost of printing and mailing the newsletters, and in an effort to conserve paper and other resources.  The Fall Score will continue to be printed in hard copy and will be combined with the Convention Bulletin.  

The LMTA Vice-President for Publicity will notify all members via e-mail when the Winter and Spring Scores have been posted on the LMTA website and are available for viewing.  Printed copies of the Fall Score/Convention Bulletin will be distributed to the local affiliate presidents at the convention.  Each president will be given copies for all of their members and will be responsible for distributing the booklets.  
 
Any LMTA member wishing to receive hard copies of the Winter and Spring Scores must notify LMTA Vice-President for Publicity David Easley. 
Requests should be mailed to David Easley at 30138 Stump St. Walker, LA  70785 and must include a check for $10, payable to LMTA, to cover printing and mailing costs for one year.  If you have questions, call David at (225) 362-6415 or email him at achordabove@etigers.net

The LMTA membership directory will no longer be printed in hard copy.  Instead members may access the directory on the Membership page of the website.  Secure log-in using MTNA member numbers will be required to access the membership list.  The membership list may not to be used for solicitation or mass mailings, is not for sale, and may not be given out to non-members.  A separate directory including only zip codes, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses is available through the “find a teacher” search.

If you know of teachers who do not have access to the internet, please notify them by telephone of the need to request hard copies of the Score as described above.
